White powder scare in Pomona, CA

Fourteen workers from a Pomona Post Office on Monterey were taken to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center at 1798 N. Garey Avenue in Pomona, California for treatment and decontamination earlier today.

Pomona Valley Hospital spokeswoman Kathy Roche told MTR News,

“All fourteen were decontaminated then admitted however, most have since been released and others are in the process of being released.”

Roche also said that,

‘A potential or possible toxin had been found at the post office, but testing of that substance happened elsewhere.”

An employee at Pomona Valley tipped the MTR News team stating some employees at the hospital have been detained beyond their regular hours because shift change workers are having difficulty getting to work due to freeway closures.
